Nathan Funk is Associate Professor of Peace and Conflict Studies at Conrad Grebel University College, the University of Waterloo. His research and writings explore peacebuilding in social and cultural as well as political contexts, with a particular focus on factors that support sustainable and adaptive peace and social change initiatives.
He has served on the boards of several Canadian peace organizations, including Project Ploughshares, Peacebuild, Global Peace Centre Canada, and the Peace and Conflict Studies Association of Canada.
His publications on themes such as cross-cultural dialogue, religious peacebuilding, and engagement with the contemporary Middle East include:
